You should have seen the look in everyone’s face when I told them that I decided to enroll in school again to upgrade my job. Among the many education opportunities that I looked at, I was more interested in physical therapist continuing education schooling that was available for me in my nearby area. The fact that I would be able to continue my education and get a better life by attending a school so close to home seemed like the perfect opportunity to me.

I was a physical therapist assistant for a long time and realized that I had gained enough experience throughout my career to upgrade into becoming a physical therapist and open my own clinic. As silly as it may sound, I figured that if I could do all the work necessary as an assistant, then I could learn how to be the big boss and rake in the cash too. In all honesty, looking at physical therapist continuing education opportunities was probably one of the smartest decisions that I have ever made in my life.

Being a physical therapist assistant requires you to be able to assist patients and do the necessary paperwork. Not only do physical therapist assistants attain a lot of experience and knowledge, but they also learn how to handle different types of situation. This is what most physical therapist continuing education courses focus on.

From the beginning, I had decided to upgrade my career one step at a time and boy, I am glad I did. You would not believe how easy it was to actually open up my own clinic after attaining the appropriate physical therapist continuing education credits. With all of the knowledge that I gained from working at a clinic, most of the concepts and technical terms were repetitive in my daily routines. By examining how the physical therapist operated the clinic and the type of service that was provided to clients, I was able to gain a great understanding of what was expected of me. If you are ever a physical therapist assistant, you will realize that being a physical therapist is not that much harder. The main difference is the amount of schooling that is required for each profession.

Physical therapists earn a much larger pay check than physical therapist assistants. After diagnosing and administrating a type of pattern of exercise routines to ease any existing discomfort that a patient has, physical therapists will generally allow their assistants to deal with all of the paperwork and any other hands-on work required for a patient. Once the tedious work of understanding the paperwork is accomplished, it’s easy to head up that career ladder!

It’s easy to take physical therapist continuing education courses when you already have an established base and the schooling just speeds by. It’s possible to even take continuing education while working and the concepts are easy to pick up and apply once you have hands-on experience in the field. It’s a great way to improve your lifestyle and become more successful.

I had always wanted to become a physical therapy assistant but when my husband got into a car accident, I had to stay at home to take care of him. Not only was our financial stability decreasing by the day because he couldn’t work, but the medication that he needed was expensive. We had some money saved up for “rainy days” but I needed to find a job and fast. There was just one problem. I couldn’t leave my husband’s side for more than an hour due to the supervision that he needed. I was beginning to lose hope. How would I be able to get a job to support the family?

Luckily for me, I learned that training to be a physical therapy assistant online was also an option that was open to students who were looking to get their associate physical therapy degree. It was absolutely a dream come true for me. I would be able to receive the education that I so desperately needed and also stay by my husband’s side if anything was to happen.

Training how to be a physical therapy assistant online was easy and simple. There are some schools which allow students to learn at their own rate and others which have set schedules for the students. The latter option is more similar to the 2 year degree program that is offered at physical therapy assistant schools. I chose the first option because I wasn’t sure about the time I could commit to the program. It turns out that I finished the degree way earlier than expected. I am a quick learner after all!

The difference between getting a degree to become a physical therapy assistant online and at a school is the type of schoolwork offered. Physical therapy assistant online courses provide their students with the necessary coursework all organized in folders online. It was easy to manoeuvre around the site and get all the materials needed for my classes. The lectures were easy to understand and I loved that I could pause a lecture and get back to it later.

Once in a while students will have to visit a school facility to perform some hands-on training but other than that everything was a piece of cake. The class sizes are normally rather small and it is so easy to get a hold of the professors if any questions are to arise. I know I had to contact them every week or so with some concepts that I didn’t understand. Not only were the professors kind and understanding, but they were also very patient with me until I fully grasped the concept.

Overall, I would have to say that my training in becoming a physical therapy assistant online was amazing. I loved every aspect of my schooling. Not only was it easy and convenient for me, I also received all the training that I needed to get a great job in less than 2 years. Who could ask for more?

As of right now, I work in a wonderful office. My husband has recovered but doesn’t work yet and our quality of life could not be any better. I would definitely recommend learning how to be a physical therapy assistant online for any of the people who have time commitment issues. Who knows? You might even end up like me and finishing the degree program early!

Do you think that your life is going nowhere? Maybe you should consider attending a physical therapy assistant schools like I did. I assure you that it may be one of the best decisions that you will have ever made to improve your life.

I used to work 9-5 at a fast food restaurant serving food to disgruntled, complaining customers with my forced on smile. I was getting paid close to minimum wage and could not afford to indulge in many luxuries. It was horrible! I never want to go back to working at a fast food restaurant again!

One day while I was handling a troublesome customer, I realized how poor my standard of living had become. I always had to take in unreasonable complaints and I decided that I was going to make the best out of my life and start anew. With this new found motivation, I was determined to find a way to make a better living.

After days of research, I found a profession that I could take on relatively quickly with some schooling and jumped on the band wagon by attending nearby physical therapy assistant schools. I quit my job with all of the money that I had saved up over the years and have never gone back to a fast food restaurant after that!

Physical Therapy Assistant schools provide you with 2 years of schooling in physical therapy studies which basically teaches you how to assist physical therapists in their daily routine. The job includes assisting patients with conditions like cerebral palsy, low back pain, arthritis, etc by doing clerical work, assisting the therapist by helping patients get into the machinery or by performing some simple work like cleaning. It’s honestly not that difficult. I don’t know why the idea never crossed my mind before!

The pay isn’t bad with the average physical therapy assistants earning anywhere from $40 000 – $50 000 or more in a year for regular 9-5 work. Wages increase with experience and assistants receive benefits like vacations. The patients are normally reasonable and kind, and the change in the environment quality was a big improvement for me.

Pre-requisites are normally not required for enrolment in physical therapist assistant schools. Anyone can improve their life, learn a new skill and find a new job! It doesn’t matter whether prior grades weren’t exceptional at all! Just work hard at learning what physical therapist assistant schools have to offer and you’ll be on track! In addition, if you enjoy being a physical therapist assistant, many physical therapy schools will accept applications that have completed an associate degree at a physical therapist assistant school. Going to physical therapy assistant schools is one big step to improving your life!

I have never made a better decision. I can afford going on vacations every year now and I don’t have to be stingy with money to save up for the “bad days”. All the stress that I once had has been elevated off of me and I enjoy my life way more than I did before. With all of the new opportunities that have opened up to me, it’s great!

Average Nurse salary amounts are rising. You can see for yourself here.

Physical therapist insurance, ARRGHH! yes, I know BUT… As a physical therapist you will find you will have to purchase the necessary evil of physical therapist malpractice insurance just everyone else.

It’s really not as bad as I may have just made it out to be. You do need it or you will be hanging out there for anyone to take a pot shot at by suing you.

It’s just that I wish the premiums weren’t so ridiculously high. That’s why you will need to shop around quite s a bit to find the best value, It’s not always the cheapest price that should say your favor, although that does help. It’s really all about ensuring you have the proper coverage for the best possible rate. This of course equals that value I was referring to earlier.

Physical therapist insurance is also fraught with a few other problems like coercion clauses that shift the responsibility to you in certain circumstances. These are things I really wish they would teach in physical therapist assistant school because it sure would make the transition to the real world much smoother.

Yes you sure can learn all the ins and outs out on your own through trial and error but I thought that’s what the Assistant physical therapist schools get paid for. If that was part of the core curriculum then there wouldn’t be any real confusion out here when grads finish up.

Yes, I’m sorry to say the need for PT malpractice insurance is at a greater than ever level. with the economy in a slump people have became even more “get a lawyer” happy than they were even just a few years ago.

My suggestion is don’t settle for the 1st quote you get by a long shot. Use all the means at your disposal to find new companies to investigate their websites ect… Because if you save even 10% of your premium you’re talking about real money when you add that up for the whole year. Then just think of what that would look like over a 20 year period. You could easily be talking about 2 brand new sports cars with the money you save.

When you do your physical therapist malpractice insurance comparisons be sure to sweat the small stuff. Yes, I know it’s a pain and they all look kind of cookie cutter the same after a while. But take the extra 15 minutes to look over the details to be sure you are getting the right coverage. If you ever do find yourself in court it’s those little details that will make or break your winning or losing.

On the bright side, it won’t take nearly as long to learn as your Physical Therapist Software
